Mr. Schleien, CFA covers the Business Development Company (BDC) sector, is a Supervisory Analyst responsible for approving firm research, and also provides research coverage of certain non‐BDC companies. He is an Institutional Investor‐ranked equity analyst who has covered companies in a variety of industries including telecom, Internet services, telecom equipment, electric utilities, construction, chemicals, beverages, aerospace, technology, consumer, building products, investment banking, investment management, paper, apparel, restaurants, food, transportation, and hospitality. Prior to joining Ladenburg Thalmann, he was a valuation consultant and manager of private investments. Previously, he was Vice President of Corporate Development at AT&T Latin America. Prior to ATTLA, he was an equity analyst at Lehman Brothers, UBS, HSBC James Capel, and Morgan Stanley in New York as well as D.A. Campbell Company in Los Angeles. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola Marymount University and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UCLA. Mr. Schleien is a member of the CFA Institute.
